Russian masterworks with the Austin Symphony

On March 6 and 7, Olga Kern joins the Austin Symphony for “The Mighty Russian Composers,” a program of works that includes music from some of the country’s most renowned composers.

Olga joins for Rachmaninoff’s Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini, which is paired with Shostakovich’s Festive Overture and Liadov’s Baba-Yaga. The program also hears Prokofiev’s Overture on Hebrew Themes and Tchaikovsky’s Francesca da Rimini. Austin Symphony Music Director Peter Bay conducts.
