Beethoven’s Triple Concerto in Lyon

On September 18 and 20, Olga Kern joins Leonard Slatkin and the Orchestre National de Lyon for “Triple dames,” a concert program whose centerpiece is Beethoven’s Triple Concerto for Violin, Cello, and Piano. Olga performs the piece alongside cellist Sol Gabetta (with whom she recorded Rachmaninoff’s Cello Sonata for Sony Classical in 2012) and violinist Baiba Skride. Leonard Slatkin conducts the performances, which also include William Bolcom’s Circus Overture and Ravel’s orchestrated version of Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition.
