Enjoy an evening of remarkable music when Maestro Guillermo Figueroa, conductor, leads our Festival Orchestra as they’re joined by Olga Kern, piano, gold medal winner of the Van Cliburn Competition.
Pieces to be performed include:
FELIX MENDELSSOHN: Symphony No. 3 in A minor, Op. 56, “Scottish”
SERGEI RACHMANINOFF: Piano Concerto No. 2 in C minor, Op. 18, featuring Olga Kern, piano
Join us for a free pre-concert lecture at 6:00 pm at the Center for Southwest Studies at Fort Lewis College, presented by Dr. Linda Mack Berven.
This concert is eligible for the Free Student Ticket Program! The Music in the Mountains Free Ticket Program for students offers up to two free student tickets with the purchase of one adult ticket to select festival concerts. If you are interested in securing free student tickets, please do not place your order online. These orders must be placed over the phone at (970) 385-6820 or in person at the Festival Office (515 E. College Drive, M-F, 9am-5pm). Note: Students must be present to receive tickets at Will Call.
