On May 8 and 10, Russian pianist Olga Kern joins the Croatian Radiotelevision Symphony Orchestra for concerts in, respectively, Zagreb and Sarajevo. May 8’s performance in Croatia’s capital city takes place at Lisinski Hall under the auspices of national news channel HRT (Croatian Radiotelevision). Olga can be heard performing Rachmaninoff’s Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini on a program that also includes world premiere of a new work by Croatian composer Olja Jelaska and Rimsky-Korsakov’s Scheherazade.

The concert is reprised on May 10 in Sarajevo Concert Hall as part of the Sarajevo Music Evenings Festival. Aleksandar Markovic conducts both performances, and May 8’s concert will be broadcast nationally on the 12th.
