This week sees Olga Kern in concert in São Paulo and New York City. On May 15, 16, and 17, the Russian pianist heads to Brazil to join Marin Alsop and the São Paulo Symphony Orchestra for Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 1. The work appears bookended on a program that also includes Anna Clyne’s Night Ferry and Schumann’s Symphony No. 2.

Following her São Paulo performances, Olga appears at Lincoln Center on the afternoon of May 18 for a gala concert celebrating the 35th anniversary of the Moscow Chamber Virtuosi. Vladimir Spivakov leads the concert, which is co-headlined by baritone Dmitri Hvorostovsky.
