Recitals with the Van Cliburn Foundation and University Musical Society

<!--:en-- src=

This week, Olga Kern gives recitals in both Fort Worth and Ann Arbor. The Russian pianist inaugurates the Van Cliburn Foundation’s new concert hall at the Kimbell Art Museum in Fort Worth. The sold-out recitals on January 23 and 24 will hear Olga performing Schumann’s Carnaval, Chopin’s Sonata No. 2, and selected preludes by Rachmaninoff. Olga will perform on the hall’s new Steinway piano, which she personally selected for the Foundation. In memory of her mentor and friend Van Cliburn, Olga will be dedicating all January and February recitals and concerts this year to his memory.

In a surprise announcement, Olga will reprise the same recital program at the University Musical Society in Ann Arbor. Located on the University of Michigan’s campus, the Society has played host to numerous musical luminaries including the New York Philharmonic, Joshua Bell, the Kronos Quartet, and Michael Tilson Thomas.
