DESCRIPTION:Guillermo Figueroa\, conductor\nOlga Kern\, piano\nEnjoy an evening of remarkable music when Maestro Guillermo Figueroa\, conductor\, leads our Festival Orchestra as they’re joined by Olga Kern\, piano\, gold medal winner of the Van Cliburn Competition. \nPieces to be performed include: \nFELIX MENDELSSOHN: Symphony No. 3 in A minor\, Op. 56\, “Scottish”\nSERGEI RACHMANINOFF: Piano Concerto No. 2 in C minor\, Op. 18\, featuring Olga Kern\, piano \nJoin us for a free pre-concert lecture at 6:00 pm at the Center for Southwest Studies at Fort Lewis College\, presented by Dr. Linda Mack Berven. \nThis concert is eligible for the Free Student Ticket Program! The Music in the Mountains Free Ticket Program for students offers up to two free student tickets with the purchase of one adult ticket to select festival concerts. If you are interested in securing free student tickets\, please do not place your order online. These orders must be placed over the phone at (970) 385-6820 or in person at the Festival Office (515 E.
