On November 7, Olga Kern performs a solo recital at New York City’s 92nd Street Y, spotlighting the world premiere of Russian composer Boris Frenkshteyn’s Homage Variations to Edward Grieg and Béla Barók. Written in dedication to Olga, the piece will be reprised by the pianist throughout 2016 in Israel and across the United States. The program, presented at Kaufmann Concert Hall, will also feature Scarlatti’s Three Sonatas, Beethoven’s Piano Sonata No. 21 “Waldstein,” Mendelssohn’s Variations sérieuses, Schumann’s Kinderszenen and Liszt’s Reminiscences of Don Juan.
